Gloucester Skills Festival

Gloucester Skills Festival

Bullock attend the Gloucester Skills Festival in partnership with Cheltenham Borough Homes and Lovell every year.

The three-day festival attracts over 6,000 people.  The Bullock stand includes information about the construction industry and the company and we also set up a practical stand to
allow the students to try their hand at painting, tiling and kitchen fitting, which proves to be very popular.

At this event we are able to raise the profile of careers within the construction industry to all young school leavers as well as engaging with other partners to support local training and employment initiatives within Cheltenham.

  • A Vision of Transformation

Wolverhampton City Council had a clear vision of what they wanted in the Graiseley area of Wolverhampton.  An area on the edge of the city centre, on the outside of the ring road.  They wanted to substantially regenerate this area of run-down mixed 60’s development of low, medium and high-rise accommodation.

  • Demolition and Recycling

The process at Shenley involved reclaiming the materials from demolished buildings.  The materials were re-graded and stockpiled ready for re-use within the new project.

  • Health and Safety Tour

A Health and Safety tour of schools in Wolverhampton and Telford has been introduced by Claire Everall and Michael Pickston and they have enlisted the help of ‘Ivor Goodsite’ and the Considerate Constructor representative.
